Better go to Firedoglake for Israel coverage

Hey everyone, this is not a diary, but rather a note. I noticed that the staff on this site has decided not to do any coverage of the Israel/Palestine conflict. Probably they just know that there are two camps in the Democratic community, one that thinks an alliance with Israel helps US interests and another that thinks it does not help US interests. So it is probably entirely logical from their point of view because this is a Democratic site, not a conservative or progressive or pro-Israel or pro-Palestinian site. I completely understand, actually, and do not necessarily advise them to cover Israel. It might be disastrous to the site's purpose if they did. But for those of us who would like to hear about how Israel affects the United States, I strongly recommend everyone go to Firedoglake, since they are a site independent of any party and can afford to cover this crisis.

Firedoglake founder Jame Hamsher discusses some cable news coverage with former Governor Eliot Spitzer on the Israeli attack:

You don’t often get a piece of cable TV this good, so it’s worth transcribing and posting in its entirety.
